SIR – It is correct that the "returns on capital" in Indian
mobile telecoms are pathetic, but to say that they
"stink like the drains in Kolkata" is insensitive to the people
who live in that city ("Happy customers, no profits", June 18th).
Did your journalist go around various drains to determine the level
of stink to arrive at that conclusion? I doubt it.
